Now that we are in October, there are many things that will be coming out for us, the horror fan. So this week we have decided to discuss some of the things that we are excited about that will be releasing this week.
We've all had friends, even some close friends and we've probably even done things with them that we normally wouldn't do otherwise. But, most of us don't just blindly follow another without first thinking things through thoroughly. This week we finish up our multi-part series on Cults. There are several definitions to the term Cult so for the most part we will be adapting this definition as to what we consider a Cult. A "CULT" is defined as a religion or sect considered to be false, unorthodox, or extremist, with members often living outside of conventional society under the direction of a charismatic leader.

Ever been out camping and someone has a ghost story to tell or a crazed madman is out in the woods? You may have even as a kid gone into the bathroom with only a candle and called out for "Bloody Mary" to pay you a visit. These are just two examples of what this week's show is about...Urban Legends. We discuss what an Urban Legend is and some of our local legends around us as well as discussing some of the common legends that have been told through the years.
We all have something that scares us, a fear that resides in us that protects us from the dangers of the world. But, when those fears manifest themselves in to the more irrational, then we call them phobias. And that is what we are discussing this week. Types of phobias and how they relate to us and to horror films as well.
Good luck, bad luck, or no luck we all have things that we believe in to bring us any one of these. We call them superstitions and this week we discuss some of the most common, some of the uncommon and some we have heard about throughout the course of our lives.
There are many things that scare us and creep us out, from the dark to the woods to strange noises in the night, but one thing that scare many are the things that live in the water. Octopus, squid, whales, barracuda, and those that reside in the dark depths of the ocean that we as humans have yet to fully study or even discover. And, that's what we are discussing this week, Aquatic Horror.
Throughout the years we have seen the highs and lows of horror movies, from the Gothic styled Universal and Hammer films such as the many variations of Dracula, The Mummy and Frankenstein through to the age of the slasher film during the late 70's and into the 80's, as well the many exploits of the paranormal, supernatural, monsters, creatures and everything in between. In their own right all of us have had the experience of feeling uneasy with certain scenes or movies. So, this week we are discussing the creepy things in films as well as adding the things that we feel may have been taken a little too far by some directors.
We are back after a small hiatus, and we are ready to bring more of what we do best. This week we dive into other ways that people experience fear in their lives through the use of VR helmets, extreme amusement rides and more.
A good laugh never killed anyone, right? So, this week we discuss comedic horror. These would be the films that are created with humor in mind, cult films that are so bad they're funny, parodies, and more.
It's game time and this week we bring you a new game. This one is called "Overkill: Halloween Slasher Party Game" by Ultra Pro. Overkill is a card game where you compete to come up with the most ridiculous or creative horror movie-themed kill. Players take on the roles of various monsters from horror movie lore, and compete for the most prized victims – when the sun rises, the player with the most total point’s worth of victims wins! Contents: 129 cards 1 Rule Sheet 1 Deck Box 1 Bonus Deck Divider.
When we fall asleep, most of us dream. Although we may not remember the dreams we have we have them. But, sometimes those dreams become something else. Something scary and horrifying. We call those dreams #nightmares. So this week we discuss nightmares. We venture into some of our own nightmares past and present and touch on some of the ways that nightmares have been used in great horror films.
It's game time again... so this week we play "ZOMBIES!" by Twilight Creations. "Zombies puts you in the middle of the action as you try to escape the ever advancing zombie horde. Players must use a combination of wits and brawn to be the first to the heliport and certain escape. The only problem is, the zombies are everywhere, they appear to be very hungry and your opponents would really prefer if you didn't escape."This game is designed for For 2 to 6 players, has a play time of 120 minutes, and includes 6 shotgun guys, 100 Plastic Zombies, and tons of replay value.
This week we bring you another "Watch N Review" with "Hellraiser: Judgment". Written and directed by Gary J. Tunnicliffe and starring Damon Carney, Randy Wayne, Alexandra Harris, and Paul T. Taylor. The synopsis for this film is, "Detectives Sean and David Carter are on the case to find a gruesome serial killer terrorizing the city. Joining forces with Detective Christine Egerton, they dig deeper into a spiraling maze of horror that may not be of this world."
This week our topic is Medical Horror, which would fall under any film or novel or game that is based on a medical profession, medical location, and/or scientific and psychological experimentation.
This week we bring you another board game play through and the game this week is "Escape a Room in a Box - The Werewolf Experiment". Here is the description of the game: Escape rooms are exciting immersion experiences in which participants are challenged to find clues, solve puzzles, and crack codes in under an hour if they want to escape.
